There a positives and negatives in the 2010 draw for the Bombers and for Bomber supporters. The good news for WA fans is that we get to see the team in Perth in February for the NAB cup opener and then again in Round 4 when they play the Eagles at Subiaco. The bad news is that’s it for the year! The draw will see Essendon play 19 games in Melbourne and three times interstate (Perth, Sydney then Adelaide).

However, there should be plenty of chances to watch Essendon in the comfort of your lounge, or at the Charles Hotel, with at least 14 night matches - split evenly between Friday and Saturday nights. Of course you can always contact Craig Turtle about seeing the Bombers in Melbourne – including the blockbuster Anzac Day tour.

Other highlights of the fixture include the opener against the reigning premiers Geelong on March 26, the Anzac Day clash against Collingwood (round 5) and Dreamtime at the 'G (round 9). Round 2 against Fremantle will serve as a special tribute to Matthew Lloyd - be sure to be at the Charles for that one!

Essendon plays five of this year’s finals sides twice (Geelong, St Kilda, Western Bulldogs, Collingwood and Carlton). There are also two clashes with Hawthorn – certain to be epic grudge matches. How many sleeps to go?
