Career Profile
David Myers is a gifted midfielder or defender, who has height, strength and pace. He has the ability to run and carry the ball and deliver it with precision. He is a potent left-footer who sparked interest at the 2007 AFL Draft camp after recording 3.01 Seconds over 20m - an impressive achievement for a player of 191 cm.
Myers was a graduate of the 2005/2006 AIS-AFL Academy and won the Barassi Medal as Australia's Best and Fairest player during the Australian U17 squad's 2006 series against Ireland.
He played eight senior games for Essendon in 2008.
